Paranoid

So it finally happened to us. we didn't get our security system hooked up when we first moved in, and we've been stalling on the gate as well.

So I'll get to the point. Sunday night (father's day) Mark, Jared and I went up north to visit my parents and on tuesday evening when we got home we noticed that things were a little different. YES, we were broke into. someone had broke into our home while we were all away. (so noone was harmed just our sense of security). So i've been on the phone non-stop (i'm officially sick of talking on the phone).

We think it was just bored Junior High School kids. They took electronics that we could live without: they took a 1) gamecube and 3 games, 2) a dinosaur old labtop (the battery doesn't hold a charge and the touchpad mouse was on the fritz). they only thing that ment anything to us our 3) USB jump drives and a SD card for a digital camera-but everything on the USB and SD card was on the desktop computer.

So they smashed the Master bedroom window and that is how they got in. here are some pictures.

Sob and Cry, but I guess it happens

well It finally happened on his 4 month aniversary I cut his left thumb with the clippers. He was awake and I had the right hand completely done and was trying to tune up the thumb on the left hand and he moved, and I got him. but i'm not the only sinner, Mark (dad) was trying to clam Jared down from being fussy on tuesday and Mark swooped Jared down and hit Jared's Head on the Coffee table (causing him to cry a little more) but mark was a good daddy and hugged and calmmed Jared down no bump no redness and today I can't even tell where he was hit.

IF you look real close there is a drip of drool sliding off his bottom lip. it is one of our favorites.

Sleeper improvements!!

So Jared went to sleep last night around 9:30pm and He didn't wake up for his usual 2-3 am feeding. (bu outta sure repatition, I woke up at 2:30am ut Jared didn't wake up till 5:30 am. it was a solid night. I'm so proud of our little -BIG sleeper.

SWIMMING anyone?

So I can't wait till tomorrow to post this. I've gotta post it now.

So, Jared got to go swimming for the first time, last night in a friends pool. Sorry about the lighting, we got there after 8pm. Jared was doing fantastic. (i'll be getting better pics of him from a friend of ours who has a flash on their camera phone.). at one point he was holding his shorts up on his leg so they wouldn't get wet. lol. it was cute.

Ok, Dad is officially a Dad. So i'm talking with another couple that had their 7 month old in the pool also, and Mark had Jared. I see Mark blowing in Jared's Face, I'm puzzled at first and Than I Realize "Mark is trying to get Jared to inhale and hold his breath to dunk him. Oh, My Gosh.

Just S I'm about to say something, Jared goes under. It was just a quick dunk (less than a mill-a-second), but it was a dunk all in the same. So Jared comes up and does a little cough to clear the throat and a sneeze to clear the nose. No crying, No fussing. We were in there a good amount of time also. so we got out when I noticed Jared doing the "I'm chilled" shake. only cause we weren't moving.

So while warming him up with the towel he feel asleep wrapped up in the towels, still in his swimmer diaper and in his swim trunks. No binki, He just passed out. It was funny yet cute all at the same time. Now a few pics.

Jared Sitting on a step in the pool. The first time I sat him down He straighten the legs and just about stood completely up. so we let him adjust and he soon relaxed.

Gangsta' Man.

so when we walked outta the movie and go to the car. ( I failed to mention it was a 3D movie. ) I looked into the storller to find Jared in this super-fantastic pose. gabbing the belt and looking at us like we got nothin' on him. lol, it was great. oh, and for those of you with kids. UP 3D was awesome and I would go watch it again. and those with really young kids like Jared. The sound effects weren't too loud for the little ears. I was comfortable with the volume.

UP!!

UP! The first movie Jared has been to.

Jared's First Movie. It was good and so was he. He was staring at the screen for half the movie, grabbing onto my cup. It was so adorable, (there were other kids and two other babies in the theatre with us.) he kinda fussed a little, half way through, so we stood up in the walkway and he fell asleep. nice little man, He is awesome. Mark even helped on holding Jared on his lap for a while. The movie is a PIXAR so go figure that they have to have the heart wrenching part. we both enjoyed the movie.

So we've just spent a roll of money on Prossional photos for Jared. I guess we have the right to, he is our first. so here in a few weeks, i'll have a ton of photos to post everywhere. you will probably be so aggrivated with all the photos. I thought this was a really good photo. lol!

We've Seen It!!

well due to the last post, we have both seen Baby Jared Roll Over. YEAH!!! So we had missed the first three, but Mark caught the 4th one and I caught the 5th one. we're so excited. also he is trying to reach for toys a little more, but ends up just pushing the toys further away from him. lol.

Keep ROLLIN', ROLLIN', ROLLIN'

ok, well Last Sunday and today, Jared has changed postion on us with noone ADMITTING to helping him. Well I put Jared to sleep on his back for a nap, and he somehow rolled onto his side and then onto his tummy. (he struggled with the arm that he was laying on.) and he did that twice.

And today Mark was making Jared do tummy time and he was fussing a little and we both looked away (real quick) and mark looked back down and exclaimed, "He Just rolled over." I look down and low-and-behold he was laying on his back. So Mark (the genius) pushes Jared back on his tummy and we both say, "Do it again, we didn't see it." lol.

I failed to mention - He hasn't rolled over in view of anyone yet.

3 Months-12 Weeks

so by date wise he's not quite 3 months old yet. but by weeks he is 12 weeks as of yesterday (Wed.). He is so long and so big. I weighed him on Friday, and he weighed 14# 7oz, with an empty diaper. so a solid 14# 5oz. he's a big boy. still over two foot long. fighting the sleep and filling the diapers. well Jared has about 3 words that he says, but not on a conscience level. they are "momma", "uh-oh", and "hi". also we have heard him say "hungry" once. So he's teaching us how to talk 'baby' talk.

2 Month visit

So we went to the Pediatrician on Tues. April, 28 and we got the numbers. Jared is 10 weeks old today. but the numbers are...

Height: 24 1/4 inches long = 81%

Weight: 13#(lbs) 4 oz = 73%

Head Circumfrence: 15.5 inches = 27%

Well here is a pic of the little-big guy totally passed out (the day after he got his 2 month shots)

:(( very sad face. it is funny though how spread eagle he is during his sleep. (after a day of crying he better be passed out).

Celtic Woman

I was browsing the channels last year and found (on channel 8) a 'Celtic Woman' production. started to watch it and was roped into it. my husband noticed how excited I was about it. And the beginning of the week came home from work and walked into the bedroom, right after the 7am feeding. He than brought me to the computer and long story short we got tickets to their show here in Pheonix at the Dodge Theater.

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! very enjoyable, if you see them on your tv, I would recomend them to any and everyone. There is 4 singers and one violinest that rocks the whole stage.

Easter-cause it's the title on everyone else's

Yeah, the Saturday before Easter... YES that is Snow, between Payson and Heber.

You know I had to title this post EASTER. cause everyone else was doing it also. LOL!! Well Jared and I went up North to visit Grandma & Grandpa Kartchner, in Taylor, AZ. Mark (dad) had worked friday night 6pm-6am on sat. (12 hour shifts at Intel). Jared and I left at 8:30 am Sat. dad didn't come with us cause he had to work sat. night 6pm-6am on sun.

Well Jared is an easy traveling buddy. on the trip up I got one out-burst (put his binki in) between Mesa and Payson. between Payson and Taylor I had one coo. and that was it. on the trip back he slept the entire time. (or at least was quiet.)

Jared got to sit on Poquito, the horse, before he could crawl. (dad might kill me for this.)

Jared also got to sit on Grandpa Kartchner's New Tractor.

Jared also got to visit the Baby goats that he was playing with in heaven. (if you are confused about this statement, look for an earlier post in Feb. that mentions the situation.)

For Easter Jared got a fuzzy bunny (church friendly, Quiet) and another bunny and chicken (that make noise, not church friendly), From Grandma & Grandpa Kartchner.

This is the big boy that is over 12 pounds, not even 2 months old yet and the footies are 6-9 month. (Does that make sense??) I know I'm baffled by it.

Sleep deprived?!?!?

So you don't wanna under estimate the sleep deprived mom. but what about the sleep deprived child? Jared has been fighting the sleep, but just during the day. so this onsie couldn't be more fitting for him.

but during th night we've only been waking up for one feeding during the night. around 2-3am. we go to bed some where between 8:30-10:30pm, do the feeding and are up at 6:30-8:30am. so i comend him for the nights.

also we are starting to hear him coo and 'talk' with sounds and the smiles just keep coming. I don't wanna ever have to leave him, he's too cute and totally awesome. I love being a mom.

BIG BOY!!

Well Yesterday was Jared's 6 week celebration. (don't worry you didn't miss much) for his 6 week anniversary we went to a store called "Baby, Mother & More" where you are able to weigh your baby for free. we wieghed Jared and with his clothes on he weighed 12 lbs 5 oz. The clerk said that clothes weigh about 3-4 oz so it'd be safe to say Jared is a solid 12 lbs. (talk about the fish that got away). lol!! here is a pictue of the BIG BOY!

Baby Blessing Photos

So on March 29 we blessed baby Jared, It was a fanctastic experiance.

He was a sexy little man in the duck-tailed suit he was wearing. Oh and the fantastic news, he didn't cry during the actual blessing. He was a little fussy at first, then fell asleep right before and during and after the blessing. and then near the end of the hour he woke up to flatulate and load the diaper which required a little bit of pushing and complaining. lol.
